Uniview Part Codes

Uniview has a huge range of IP cameras and recorders, all with varying features and specifications. Trying to understand these differences may look confusing, but there is an easy way to interpret them by looking at the part code. 

Uniview IP Cameras

Below is the part code for a Uniview 5MP camera:

  • M: Metal housing
  • S/N: Simplified Cable/Cable-free (If its supports built-in audio devices, it does not reflect S)
  • T/T1/T2: Support temperature measurement function, and the following numbers represent different temperature measurement modules
  • W: WiFi
  • Xxx: Motorised lens with more than 5 zoom, xx indicates the lens magnification
  • Z: Motorised lens with 5 or less times zoom, xx indicates the lens magnification

8. AI (Smart Intrusion Prevention)

  • I:  Intelligent SIP (AI)

Using the guide above, we can determine it is an enhanced 32-channel NVR from the high-end series. It has support for up to 4 hard drives and 16 POE ports.
